About The Event

How do you get your students to read Shakespeare – and enjoy it?

One way is to get them interested before they know they are reading anything remotely connected with Shakespeare! Lawyer/Author Pat McKee has written a legal thriller, Ariel’s Island, inspired by Shakespeare’s Tempest that includes a sympathetic protagonist with whom young people can identify and an artificial intelligence program that proves more dangerous than anyone suspects.  Pat will tell you how Ariel’s Island can be a gateway for your students to themes raised by Shakespeare. Ariel’s Island is a thriller that students and teachers alike will enjoy.
